    Atefeh Sedaghatkhah* Pages 1-14

Academic adaptation is defined as a process in which students try to adapt themselves to the academic environment of the school, to achieve better learning including learning habits, use of learning resources, learning motivations, learning satisfaction, learning styles. and so on. The present study was conducted with the aim of predicting the academic adaptation of high school students based on coping strategies, parental support and belonging to school in the post-corona era. The research method was descriptive correlation type. The statistical population included all high school students in Shiraz city in 2022 (Iran), based on the Krejcie and Morgan table, 380 students were selected by random cluster sampling. In order to collect data, questionnaires of academic adaptation, coping strategies, parental support and belonging to school were used. The results showed that the research model explained 47% of the variance of academic adaptation. Based on the findings, coping strategies, parental support and belonging to school significantly predict students' academic adaptation. The results have useful implications for increasing the academic adaptation of high school students in the post-corona era.

Reza Farashbandi, Ali Mohammad Ahmadi Gharacheh*, Ali Shojaeifard, Mahbobeh Moji, Fatemeh Bibak Pages 15-29

The aim of this research was to investigate the effectiveness of education based on Eisner's Seven Step Approach on the creativity and academic emotions of the male high school students in Boushehr city. The method of the current research was pre-test-post-test semi-experimental with the control group design and the statistical population included 4766 students of the first secondary school in Boushehr city in 2022. The sample was 40 people who were selected by accessible sampling method that randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. The research tools included Torrance's creativity questionnaires (1992) and Academic Emotions Questionnaire (AEQ). The findings exhibited that training based on Eisner's Seven Step Approach improves each of the components of creativity, i.e., flexibility, originality, fluency and elaboration in the experimental group compared to the control group. Also, training based on Eisner's Seven Step Approach reduces the component of negative academic emotions and improves positive academic emotions in the experimental group compared to the control group. In the general it is concluded that by using education based on Eisner's Seven Step Approach, it is possible to help increase students' strengths and skills in the field of creativity and academic emotions of high school students.

  • The mediating role of loneliness in the relationship between parent-child conflict and academic buoyancy
    Houshang Garavand* Pages 30-42

The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating role of loneliness in the relationship between parent-child conflict with academic buoyancy. The research method was correlation of the type structural equation modeling. The population of this study included all undergraduate students of Lorestan University in the academic year 2021-2022.The statistical sample size was determined based on Klein's thumb rule equal to 240 people which was done by accessible sampling method and online questionnaire. The instruments used in this study were UCLA LONELINESS SCALE, Parent Child Relationship Scale (PCRS) and Dehghanizadeh and Husseinchari academic buoyancy questionnaires. Data analysis was performed using structural equation modeling. Statistical analysis was done by the SPSS-22 and AMOS-24 software. The results showed that parent-child conflict had no direct and causal effect on academic buoyancy. The results about the indirect relationships in the model showed that the parent-child conflict is mediated by the feeling of loneliness on academic vitality. Therefore, it is suggested that the necessity of establishing good and friendly relations between parents and young people should be raised in universities, parents should be aware of the consequences of their children's loneliness and provide their children with emotional, material and informational support.

Mitra Ebrahimi, Ahmed Kouhshekan, Ali Ebrahimi* Pages 43-52

The purpose of this article is to investigate the relationship between Facebook addiction and cognitive emotion regulation strategies with the tendency to use drugs in middle school male students of Lamard city (Iran). The method of study is correlation and statistical population includes all the male middle school students in Lamard in 2022. To estimate the sample size, we used the Krejcie-Morgan table and to select the sample, a multi-stage cluster sampling method was used, and at the end, 200 boys were selected as the sample. The research tool includes a questionnaire measuring the tendency to use drugs, which includes three subscales: readiness for addiction, recognition of addiction and alcoholism, which is extracted from the Minnesota Multifaceted Personality Inventory (MMPI-2), Cognitive Emotion Regulation (CERQ) and Bergen Facebook Addiction Scale (BFAS). Statistical data was analyzed through correlation coefficient by SPSS-18 software. Results indicated that students who use more negative strategies to reduce and cope with negative emotions tend to use temporary and ineffective alternatives such as the desire to consume drugs and alcohol. Also, excessive tendency towards Facebook can cause loneliness, anxiety and the desire to change one's identity in the virtual world.

The study population was all 548 primary school teachers in Qorveh city (Iran), from which a sample of 225 people was selected by simple random sampling method based on Morgan table. The research method is correlation and especially structural equation modeling. To collect the data, researcher-made questionnaires of organizational citizen behavior based on the Organ model (1988) and Nahapiet and Ghoshal social capital questionnaire were used. To determine the reliability and validity of the instrument, Cronbach's alpha techniques and confirmatory factor analysis were used. The results indicated the optimal reliability and validity of the instrument. Confirmation path analysis was used to analyze the data using LISREL software. The results showed that the dimensions of teachers' citizenship behavior have a positive and significant effect on their social capital at the level of 0.05. The five dimensions of teachers 'citizenship behavior are able to explain 25% of the variance of their social capital, which is significance. This cross-sectional study was performed in 2021 on 143 married individuals aged 18-61 in Zanjan (Iran). Data was collected using The Family of Origin Scale. (Hovestadt et al., 1985), Arnett Inventory of Sensation Seeking (AISS), The Conner-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) and Adams and Jones marital commitment questionnaire. Data analysis was done applying Pearson’s correlation and multiple linear regressions. The results showed that health of the original family have a significant role in predicting marital commitment (p <0.05). Also, there is a significant positive correlation between health of the original family and resilience with marital commitment while sensation seeking has not a significant relationship with marital commitment. Totally, health of the original family and resilience play important roles in improving marital relationships.
